Operator and scope

Building 28 is a registered assumed name of Bytecraft, LLC, a Michigan limited liability company. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Building 28 and Bytecraft, LLC. These terms apply only to the getsyng.com website, including its text, design, downloads interface, and related site services.

Syng software is separate

Syng is open-source software published and distributed by Building 28 under license from its owner. The software and covered source code are licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3, with any applicable additional permissions and third-party license terms. Nothing in these website terms replaces, restricts, or expands the rights and obligations provided by those software licenses. See the Legal page for details.

U.S.-directed distribution

This website and Building 28’s distribution of Syng through it are intended for people located in the United States. They are not offered or directed to people in the European Union or European Economic Area. We do not use geofencing, and your ability to reach the website does not mean we are directing the website or distribution to your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• interfere with or disrupt the website or its supporting systems;
• attempt to bypass security controls or gain unauthorized access;
• use automated requests in a way that imposes an unreasonable burden on the website; or
• use the website to violate another person’s rights or applicable law.

We may suspend access or take reasonable protective measures when needed to address misuse, security risks, or legal obligations.

Third-party services and links

The website links to services operated by others, including GitHub, and release downloads may be delivered by those services. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party websites, availability, content, or practices.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, getsyng.com is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Building 28 and Bytecraft, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from or related to the website. Rights that cannot lawfully be disclaimed or limited remain unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these website terms or getsyng.com will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Michigan, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
